| Most studio paintings are larger than those done
onsite, and are painted on stretched canvas. I find it impractical
to carry large canvases outside, plus conditions onsite are too
fleeting to paint very large. Some of my studio paintings are developed
from onsite paintings, drawings and photographs while others are
the product of experiment, imagination, anticipation, memory or
other inspiration. They may take a day or a week or more to complete. |
