Woodland Studio is a lovingly renovated historic log barn. When
not painting in the Canadian Arctic, the American Southwest or undiscovered
corners of the Ottawa Valley, Kathy can be found in her studio working
on large canvases and commissions. The studio is open to the public
year round by appointment. |

Artist statement on the painting:
At the edge of the forest, where sunlight highlights
bright fall colours, there is always a mystery that
beckons me to explore into the dark unknown. So alluring
is this dichotomy at the edge of light that I am painting
a series on "The Magical Edge" and this is
the 3rd. |
